In 1997, more specifically on December 15, a dream came true which changed our life forever.  The famous stallion Ibn Estasha became ours!  Bred by Om el Arab, Ibn Estasha (1980) is a direct son of Malik out of the legendary Estasha, a full sister to the well-known El Shaklan and a lovely representative of the Estopa-family in her own right.

Only 5 years before the purchase of Ibn Estasha, we were introduced to the Arabian Horse. Firstly we purchased an Arabian mare, mainly to be used as a riding horse. On a lovely summer day we visited the National C-show in Tilburg (The Netherlands), organised by the well-known Mrs. Jopie Smarius, and it was at that show we got overwhelmed by all those wonderful creatures.  From that day on, we were determined to follow our dream to have our own representative of the breed in our stables.

Our search began and ended at the day we visited Maghreb Arabians, owned by the Verryd Family in Belgium.  When seeing several beautiful sons and daughters of Ibn Estasha, all snow-white beauty’s blessed with that special charisma, we quickly realized we found what we were looking for.  Finally, a fairytale horse, uncomparable with anything we ever witnessed, was taken out of his stables: Ibn Estasha himself, a living legend!
From that day on Bessewacht Arabians was placed on the map as ”Home of Ibn Estasha”.
The past years he has produced exceptional daughters for us, who are the foundation of our breeding program.

To all whom have their own hopes and dreams for the future, we regularly have wonderful granddaughters- and sons by Ibn Estasha available for your consideration.
